Lived in Block 104 and was generally wasted in Fakenham at the Crown bHotel/b most weekends. I was there a few weeks ago and managed to poke my head through the front gates. I can still visualise the Bloodhound Missile outside HQ and the small white cabin on wheels where I used to sit on b....../b I joined the RAF in June 1948 and after square bashing at Padgate and Radar training at bYatesbury/b was posted to West Raynham as a Radar Operator in the autumn of 1948, 60 years ago! ...
